Synopsis: The names ricochet through Western lore. Teenaged Robert Ford (Casey Affleck) idolized Jesse, sought his friendship, rode with him. It wasn’t enough. The up-and-comer wanted his shot at fame. And when he got it, he took it. Pitt gives a volcanic, charismatic performance as Jesse in this saga of celebrity and obsession adapted from Ron Hansen’s historical novel by director Andrew Dominik (Chopper). “They’re all lies,” Jesse says of the stories surrounding him. A deeper, more human truth awaits in this ambitious and stirring epic film.

Review: I have always been a big fan of Brad Pitt and his movies. Additionally I have always been fascinated about the whole Jesse James story. so with that said I had to rent this movie and check it out. The movie starts a little slow, But its just getting you into the whole story, Which is mainly about as the title states, Jesse James assassination by Robert Ford.

The imagery and video of the movie is awesome, the scenery it shows makes you actually feel as if your in that time era of when Jesse James rode his horse across the plains.

The film follows the last days of Jesse James (Brad Pitt) and gang. A boy who grew up idolizing James, Robert (Casey Affleck) Ford, gets his chance to ride alongside his boyhood hero when his brother, Charley Ford (Sam Rockwell), joins the ranks of James’ cohorts. Robert soon finds out, however, that James and his gang are no heroes and in soon enough, he decides he needs to kill Jesse James.

This is a wester movie I would highly recommend renting or purchasing. I will be ordering it for my collection. check out the trailer below.
