How Much Was My 2008 Stimulus Check?

March 28, 2009 advice, Finance, money, Taxes

Last year several millions of people got the recovery rebate credit as part of the Stimulus Package. But there are several more people who did not get the rebate check or got only a partial amount.

If you did get a stimulus check last year, you will need to know the amount when you file your personal tax return for 2008 (due in April 2009).

Remember this was a non-taxable credit – so you will not be taxed on this. However, there are many people who did not get the rebate or received only partial payments for this.

The stimulus check amount you enter on your tax return has to be accurate – otherwise there will be delays in processing your tax return for 2008.

Here are 3 ways to find out how much was your stimulus check :

Form 1378
Last year IRS should have mailed you form 1378 which contains the stimulus rebate amount.
